service

We at Swan Saw Service DO NOT ruin your blades! We touch up the front to get a square edge, as it were, and then sharpen the top of the carbide to get the longest life for your blade.  Not only is there longer life between the need for re-sharpening (about twice as long), but they will have longer life between being new and worn out.

Look at the carbide tip on a new blade.  There is more carbide from top to bottom than there is from front to back.  Therefore, if you are only getting the front ground (we hesitate to use the word sharpened) then your blades are being ruined.

You can do the math yourself.

We would love the opportunity to show you how we can improve your business by having less down time to change blades. Over the long run you will save money on your sharpening and new blade purchases.

We sharpen router bits, shaper cutters, jointer, and planner knives.
